A fully funded, three year, tenure track post at the School of Geography, University of Nottingham. This post is also held in connection with the British Geological Survey, through the Centre for Environmental Geochemistry.

M.Sc. Quaternary Science; graduated with Distinction and ranked first in the year. Awarded Elsevier Prize for thesis. Dissertation: “An early Holocene, multiproxy palaeolimnological investigation of Lake Holebudalen, southern Norway

Consultation and administrative work

  • 09/2008-10/2010   ENSIS Consultancy, UCL

Employed environmental research consultant of ENSIS Ltd consultancy. Involved in laboratory procedures including macrofossil oospore size modelling and arrangement of permissions for fieldwork. Conducted fieldwork including lake water monitoring research in the UK as part of the “Water Framework Directive” for the Environment Agency.

  • 09/2007 to 09/2009  Environmental Change Research Centre (ECRC) Support Administrator

Support administrator for ECRC. Student representative for internal committees and the writing of minutes under the role.

Employed as researcher for an audit of the UK Government greenhouse gas emissions
